Amanda was there with me to provide guidance on how to alter my macronutrients to fuel my body for both baby and running
I started nutrition coaching with Amanda to learn how to fuel my body while training for a marathon. I had run a few marathons already, but I wanted to take my training to the next level by eating foods that would help me perform better.
Early on, Amanda said something that terrified me. She told me we would work on changing my body composition. While I maybe didn’t have the body I wanted, it was still mine and I was used to how it looked.
With Amanda’s guidance, I lost 10 pounds and watched my stomach, arms, legs, and shoulders become leaner and better able to take on the demands of distance running. It was her guidance that put me in a position to fuel my body in a way that I was able to not only run my fastest marathon but also qualify for the Boston Marathon.
Coming off this success, I made it my goal to run several half marathons and a full marathon in the span of a year—and then I got pregnant. Amanda was there with me to provide guidance on how to alter my macronutrients to fuel my body for both baby and running. I completed my marathon at 18 weeks and kept up running through week 35 of my pregnancy.
